Just spent a great day at a workshop run by Heather Champ and Derek Powazek.

A fabulous insight into what it takes to run a community web site from the ground up: from the whos, whats and whys right through to the erradication of trolls. (Or, at least, the enthusiastic discouragement of trolls.)

I’ve followed both Heather and Derek for many years and was great to finally meet them in person.

Also of note today was the realisation that Ze Frank is much taller than he appears!

I’ll have more to add but, in the meantime, I’m going to post this before the charges my hotel think are fair and reasonable for paltry Internet connection get the better of my bank account!
