Next Tuesday, 14 November is World Usability Day and there are a couple of events worth noting in Auckland on the day:
MakingLifeEasy.Org & Red Balloons in the Streets of Auckland
Starting at midday from Vulcan lane a bunch of red balloon wielding urban safarists will be raising awareness of usability in our everyday lives. More information can be found at MakingLifeEasy.org and at Userfaction where you can register your interest in the event.
Usability at the Bank of New Zealand and Trade Me
In the evening there is a UPA meeting and celebration of World Usability Day.
Shona Bishop of the Bank of New Zealand will speak about user-centred design at the BNZ.
Then, Natasha Hall will share with us what she’s learned conducting usabilty sessions with users of New Zealand’s most popular Web site, Trade Me. More information can be had at Userfaction.
