Yesterday I followed a link on Jon Hicks’ latest journal entry to a brilliant Firefox extension called Firebug from Joe Hewitt, who worked on the development of Firefox and Firefox’s DOM inspector. Why didn’t I know about this before? Within minutes of using it I’d discovered and fixed a couple of bugs in wasabicube CSS and fixed a very well buried JavaScript error in the application I’m currently building.

Joe’s working on a lightweight JavaScript debugger as part of the next release of Firebug. Most excellent.
